History

I've been writing fiction for a few years now.

My first story was published in Territories Magazine, edited by the inestimable Erich Zahn, in 1993, and I've been lucky enough to keep it rolling ever since.

My stories have been published in magazines like The Third Alternative, Interzone and Lady Churchill's Rosebud Wristlet, and in the occasional anthology, such as The Thackery T Lambshead Pocket Guide To Eccentric And Discredited Diseases and The Elastic Book Of Numbers.

Some of these have been cited in the big list at the back of the Years Best Fantasy And Horror.

Which is lovely.

New stories

"The Codsman And His Willing Shag" forthcoming in Fabulous Whitby.

"The Euonymist" to be reprinted in Logorrhea: Good Words Make Good Stories.

Books

My collection, The Ephemera, was launched during Eastercon. The paperbacks seem to have proved popular with the punters, and the gorgeous limited edition hardcovers are sold out.

Nova Scotia: New Scottish Speculative Fiction, co-edited with Andrew J Wilson.

I am proud to be represented by the John Jarrold agency.
